Meme, word of the day

I was reading New Straits Times and Washington Post today and the word "meme" caught my attention twice. Yep. NST uses it, WP uses it too.

With a bit of digging, I found out that, "meme", as used in the two opinion articles I read earlier is pronounced "meem".

It means,
  1. An element of a culture or behavior that may be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, esp. imitation.
  2. An image, video, etc. that is passed electronically from one Internet user to another.
