It's big. Massive. Gargantuan. And it is expanding. It's my magical book - your's too, if you still don't know it. Some chapters are nice, some aren't, and some are rewritten each day.
If I still haven't told you yet about this one book I'm reading, let me tell you what it is - Internet.
Yep, the way I see it, Internet is one large black hole of a book - there's no telling when the book will reach its final version (and fans of Harry Potter claim their wait for the seventh book was agonising!).
So from the Internet today I read, discovered and learnt several things - just from a few minutes online. My most interesting discovery today is a word which I rarely (maybe never) came across before: extant.
Dictionary.com says extant means still existing, or surviving. Apparently extant must not be used in direct replacement of the word exist, as extant also implies survivor qualities. Hmm I guess you can head to Dictionary.com for better understanding.
But if I understand the concept of the word enough, I'd say extant is perfect for describing my big, magical book, the Internet...
Extra! Extra! An e-read about e-reading. For book lovers who loves e-books, books that eventually become movies and other relevant stuff. Be it novels or shorts, devices and enablers, apps and wares, films or shorts, it's all randomly baked here, Malaysian style.

Kindle Fire is da bomb!
I have nothing against Apple products, in fact I do think iPod is one of the best inventions ever. But I kinda agree with this particular article on Kindle Fire's advantage over iPad. The article lists five key advantage the former has against the latter device, and the non-stop streaming part is what got me truly excited.
Imagine with Amazon Prime premium service that you get for a month with the purchase of the Kindle Fire, you can access movies, shows and borrow ebooks at the Kindle Lending Library. That's easily 5,000 titles - including current and former bestsellers - more than what you have right now.
As an ebook reader I support this borrowing initiative as I get to sample the writings of fresh authors and if I like that one book, I won't hesitate as much before buying their next title.
Now if only this kind of stuff are available here...
